Hey Tenchi, we able to request songs from games? Example, Terror of Death "I'd like to request Real Emotion from Final Fantasy X2, I think its a 'uber badass' song, to me anyway <.< Don't know if other will like it xD" Tenchi(you) "(your response either "(name of song) Added to pending list (+ what ever) or "You cannot request game music(results may vary)"

If memory serves me correctly she state at one point she wouldn't be accepting Video Game music as she wanted to purely run an Anime podcast. I could be wrong but though i'd share my 2 cents

If the game had anime cut scenes, I probably still wouldn't accept it. For the purposes of the cast, a program counts as "anime" if it is an animated television show, direct-to-video series/film, theatrical film, or professional web series/film (aka: ONAs) that is produced in Japan for a Japanese audience. Types of songs that count as being "anime music" that I will play on the show are: 1) Featured in the program's opening or ending sequence 2) Featured as an insert song during the program 3) Used as background music during the program 4) Featured on an album specifically devoted to the program or multiple programs - examples: character song albums, tribute albums, remix/compilation albums.
Sometimes you may have noticed that I have played exceptions on the show ("Sekai ga Sore wo Ai to Yobun da ze" from Densha Otoko in episode 6, "Yeah!" by Hinoi Team in episode 20), but those are exactly what they are - EXCEPTIONS, not the rule. I try to keep them as few and far between as I can; the fewer, the better.
My definitions are a little rigid, but I just want to make sure that the scope of songs played on this show stays pretty focused, since that's what I wanted when the concept for the show first came to fruition. There are plenty of other J-music and regular music podcasts out there that would be happy to play video game music - it is entirely for this reason that Anime Utahime will stay a haven for ANIME-related music, period. AU and (to an extent) Anime Music Podcast are still the only podcasts on the entire internet that specialize in anime music, so to dilute the anime focus by including video game music defeats the idea behind that distinction, I think.
Sorry, if that came out sounding harsh, I didn't mean it to be. Was just trying to be clear. ^^;; Sorry! *blush*

Just wanted to add something else: yes, by my definition, CG-animated films made in Japan for a Japanese audience such as, oh, I don't know, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, are fair game.
