I have only seen a couple episodes of the anime, but from what i can tell it is different fron the manga while still keeping some of the main points. i thought that the manga was enjoyable. I still read the first few more than any of the others. if anyone knows where i can watch the anime online........... PLEASE TELL ME! i have a hard time finding more than the first few episodes. please tell me what you think of it.

You have a hard time finding it online because it's been licensed for release in North America by Funimation. The original anime series is all out on DVD, and the updated Negima!? (with a question mark) series DVDs should start coming out sometime this year, so keep an eye out for them in online stores and any local stores you know that sell anime.
As for the show and manga: not one of my favourites. Negi is kind of a funny character, but I generally just can't stand these types of harem-y "look at all the wacky hijinks involving unbelievable numbers of hot girls!" shows. It's some people's thing, and that's fine, but I just don't like it myself.
I had considered watching the newer series because I heard it has more focus on the comedy and battles than on fanservice of the girls, though. The new series was also directed by a pretty good comedy director, Akiyuki Shinbo (directed Pani Poni Dash, Hidamari Sketch, and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei). However, I never got around to seeing it because of the bad aftertaste the first anime series and the manga had already left me with. Shinbo would have to work miracles with the comedy in the newer series for me to like that story, I think.

i found the a collection of the first three volumes at a used book store for about 1/4 of the normal price. since i had been trying out new manga i thought i would try it rather than buying the first volumes of every new manga series i would focus on one for a while, and since i already had the first three volumes i decided to Negima. i used to read/watch yu-gi-oh, but after the first two seasons i got realy bored with it. then i tried naruto. deja vu. so when i found negima i thought it was better than what i had been reading. thats why i read it
