To everyone wondering about the new forum and website: I'm not telling you the URLs to those yet because 1) they're still in "rough draft" form right now, and 2) doing so would give away the name of the new show, which I haven't let out to the general public yet. But yes, when the new website/forum is ready, I'll post the URL here and anyone who wants to join will be able to. HOWEVER!As an advance warning to those who want to join the forum for the new cast when it's ready: PROPER SPELLING AND GRAMMAR WILL BE ENFORCED VIGOROUSLY! This is sort of like the current rule I have for this forum, but it will be much more strict in both form and enforcement. As I spend more and more time on the GeekNights forum, I have realized just how much I appreciate a social environment where everyone is required to spell properly and form proper sentences. It creates a place where people are more careful when they make a post, meaning more people are likely to think about the content of those posts, and thus it tends to make topics of discussion more meaningful overall. It still allows room for some silly threads, too, though, so don't worry about that. Anyway, if you join the new forum and your posts are not at least near-perfect (I'm not gonna shoot you down for a missed comma here or a typo there), I will first give a warning, and if things don't improve after that, it's automatic Banhammer City. If you don't want to worry so much about your spelling and grammar, there are plenty of other forums out there that are more relaxed, including this Anime Utahime one, which I will keep open for those who want it. I would like the new forum to be a "bastion of the internet" similar to the GeekNights forum, at all costs.

Just PMed you about the account thing. And don't you worry! The new show will hopefully be more than awesome enough to make up for the ending of AU.

I pretty much saw the grammar rule coming from a mile away.

I pretty much saw the grammar rule coming from a mile away. Yeah, I know I've been lax about it for too long. I'm too nice to people. ^^;; Hopefully the spelling/grammar thing should be better enforced with the addition of Iggy on my side. You will all find that she is far less forgiving than I when it comes to laying the smackdown. Mwahahahaha. And if I haven't said so already, ciel: oh mans, you helped to majorly enrich many aspects of my existence by turning me on to GeekNights. I just bought Apples to Apples and the Burning Wheel books. And like I already said, I definitely have developed a greater appreciation for totally readable forums. Thanks again, you.

^^; ah well that stinks. I don't blame you, though. I wouldn't host copyrighted material, myself. Too bad you can't promote new J-pop artists' music. I'm sure some of them would love the publicity xD Good luck with your new show. I got the message late (as you can see, I joined today haha)

I see grammar is to be enforced. Excellent. You'll be the first forum i've been on to do so.
Can we know the new forum yet?
How about now?
Now?...

Woah....WOAH! UTAHIME IS ENDING!! When did this happen? I leave the country for two weeks and suddenly you guys think its okay to end my favorite padcast? WELL IT'S NOT OKAY!!!! I need AU, its how i get through The Ninth Circle of Hell (also known as High School). And i only just discovered it and i wanted to get to know it in a slow, sensuous courtship, gently moving into a steady relationship that developed until we could get married and grow old togther!! Or somthing... And Australian shipping costs are a whole bunch more than my meagre wage can support for regular anime music updates. Damn you, Makers of Copyright... (grabs out Deathnote) And personally, i think that Utahime is way better than any 'GeekCast'. It was very unique and handy. And i could get my anime-tunes fix fast, free and often! I mean (coming from a Level 10 Warlord here) GeekCasts are easy to find and duplicate... AU was special. (weeps in corner) And i think Graeme is my perfect man!!! HOW CAN YOU TAKE THAT AWAY FROM ME!! But maybe, MAYBE! I'll forgive you if you say that you'll be completeing the requests list on the final (sniff) episode. Maybe.

PS: Although I am still angry at you... Yay, Grammar! I've been an "English Nerd" ever since i was born and personally, i think abbreviated text should carry the death penalty. Stupid "Lyk" and "Watev" and other newfangled weirdness. I really am an 80 year old English teacher in a 15 year olds body. Except for the fact that i can't spell. At all.

Um, I'm sorry that you're upset, but really, I think the need to make sure we don't get in trouble with copyright law supersedes your desire for us to continue. If you want lots of anime music all the time, I'd recommend getting an account at gendou.com and downloading all the anime music you could ever want. The music is something you can get without us presenting it to you. I know I shouldn't be telling you to download it for free, but honestly, it's much safer for you to just download it as an individual than it is for us to podcast to the entire internet that we do it.
And while I know that "geekcasts" are a dime-a-dozen, I think it doesn't really matter what a podcast is about so long as the hosts are interesting, funny people. I think most people here agree that the way Iggy and I bounce off each other is one of the core aspects of what currently makes the show good. Just listen to an episode of AUO! (Anime Utahime Outtakes) to get a sense of what Anime Utahime would be like without the anime music. I'd say it's still a really entertaining show, and if you don't think the same, well, I'm sorry. If you really can't live without an anime music podcast, I'd recommend listening to Otaku Kakumei; Miles and Freya still do a great podcast featuring lots of anime music and some J-pop.
And lastly: there won't be enough time to fulfill the entire request list, so for the final episode, I've selected a few of my favourite songs from the list. Those songs are already set, so you'll just have to wait to find out what they are.

Gah! Bah Humbug! And a rasberry blown in your direction! Its easy for you to say "Just download them" and "We'd have more funny time without that troublesome music". I'm fifteen. I don't know anything about anime music except that which AU taught me, i have limited funds and i also have to worry about the legality of the issue. My parents control my computer time. I'm a minor; i have no control over this. And although you guys are genuinly(sp?) funny, i was interested in the anime and music news. Thats what attracted me in the first place. Sorry, but i won't be tuning in anytime soon. Cya.

*shrug* Fine by me. No one's forcing you to stay, and it's not our fault that your parents monitor how you use the computer. Also, I never said we'd be funnier without the music - I said we'd feel safer. Big difference. I'd like to know what's so wrong with us wanting to, y'know, make sure we don't ever get in legal trouble with our podcast.
And like I said, there's still Otaku Kakumei if you want an anime music/Jpop podcast. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to have you.

It still surprises me how people can get pissed off because you stopped giving them a free service.
They have no reason to get mad if they did not pay for it.
