Decided that since the topic of the Wii came up in the Pokemon thread, I'd create a new thread where we can talk about the Wii in general and the games for it. I still do not have one myself, but I would love to have one. I played at a Wii demo station around Christmas time, and even though I only really played Wii Sports and Rayman Raving Rabbids, it was some of the most fun I've ever had with any gaming console. Games I'd like to play? Twilight Princess, Elebits, WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Pokemon Battle Revolution, Trauma Center: Second Opinion, and Cooking Mama: Cook Off. I'm sure more will come to mind as the Wii gains more ground as a console and more games for it are announced and released.

Considering how popular the system is, I understand that the supply is less than the demand right now. My local games store and HMV were promised more Wiis in February. I don't know if they got them or not, but if they did, they probably sold out uber fast, and if they didn't get any, it's probably due to the manufacturers trying to churn out enough to eventually meet the growing demand. Still sucks for us waiting, though. I don't even know if I'll be able to afford one if I see one available. They may be cheap for a console, but a couple hundred dollars is still expensive for me.

Haha, well, right now I still have Christmas money. So I have more then enough for it. But to me expensive is the ps3 60mg x.x its 500 BUCKS!!! I know that its new, and that one is the best of the two. But come on, 500?! >.>

I wouldn't even call the PS3 the better of the two, myself. Sure, it wins for graphics and having more functions than just being a video game console. But in terms of gameplay, the Wii seems like the more innovative and fun of the two, and it has a much better selection of creative, worthwhile games so far. And you're right, the high pricetag of the PS3 does not help when choosing between the two either.
It's more fair to try and compare the PS3 and Xbox 360, I would think, since both of those are more aimed at hardcore gamers, and the Wii (like the DS before it) is more aimed at the casual gaming market.

Oh, sorry. My mistake. ^^;; If it makes you feel any better: yes. Yes that is unfair.
*cough* Still think that what I said about PS3/Wii/360 comparisons stands, as I don't really like it much when people try to compare the Wii with either of those consoles in general in unfair ways. XD;

Yes, it does still stand. I don't compare and console to another, unless its the same one, case and point, the two ps3's. Also, I'll try not to post any comparivt things to the Wii. Oh, and alot of people already agree with me. It was just me ranting and raving.

lol, ranting and raving are allowed so long as it doesn't get long and spammy. Long and spammy is for the Fluffernutters section, and I know you know how to use that section very well. I won't tell you what you can and can't post as far as Wii praise and criticisms are concerned, definitely. But I do reserve the right to debate with you if you do.

Hehe, those spam posts was me being bored >.> But I also follow my sister's online account. "Rules are Rules, brake 'em, and I brake you" x.x well, I do the Rules are Rules part. I will not debate, unless you want to. I also tend to keep things to myself. As you probably saw in the 'UNKNOWN!!!' topic.

lol, fine then, I give you permission to debate as much as you want so long as it's thought-out and non-spammy (outside Fluffernutters). How about this for a topic. Twilight Princess: how do you think it will stack up against the rest of the Zelda series to date? For me personally, my favourite will always be Link's Awakening on the original GameBoy. Go.

i just remembered that after christmas when i went to best buy ,to get another memory card for my PSP,that people were trading in ps3 for a Wii and also the ps3 were defective so there were a whole bunch of ps3 behind the return counter ... it was kinda weird but then anything new from Japan gets praised in the U.S (i was in the U.S at the time)

Yes, 'items' from Japan are praised, here in the US. While we are the top of war tech (from what I last saw/remember) we also love 'game' tech. I, myself, is a 'game freak'.

The graphics for the Wii are hands down definitely NOT as good as the graphics on the PS3 or Xbox 360. They're fine, of course, just not much better than what you've seen on your average PS2, I'd wager. The strength of the Wii, as I said before, is in its gameplay, not graphics.
